Guinness World Records with the largest metal buried bridge span in the world.

As part of the Ras Al Khaimah Ring Road, the Shamal bridge with a span of 32.39 metres achieved the Guinness World Records with the largest metal buried bridge span in the world.

The new arch bridge is part of the second phase of the Emirates road which links the northern emirate with the entire country.

The bridge takes a capacity of 2,000 vehicles per hour and has many economic advantages compared to concrete bridges, with a life expectancy of up to 104 years, without the need for maintenance, and able to bear all loads and weights.
